Uncover and discover Tilt-Shift Photography in a new light
I always enjoyed photography since i was a child, about 15 years back. I had a toy camera once for a christmas present and until today, this toy is still in my cabinet. I was intrigued by the shape and the design the. Then, camera design was very rigid and block-y. What comes into your head when you think of a camera design or shape?
That is your childhood memories, and mine was the typical black box with the oblong shape. Old school but very nostalgic. Until more recently about 10 years back when i know of photography and study more into it, photography is very science related and intriguing.
Light is the soul of photography and light belongs to physics, chemistry and biology. I always had the trouble of barrel distortion in most of my pictures when i started taking buildings and landscape photography. The lines seem to curve, even though through my eyes they were straight line. I did a little research and Tilt-Shift photography comes into the picture.

So i bet you roughly know what tilt-shift photography means and with a little leading, you know what tilt-shift lens do. Tilt-Shift lens give the photographer the control to correct distortions, by manually tilt and shift movements from the camera.
The photographer has the tool to make the perspective right and it is in his hands how he wants the perspective to be. If someone has a visually unappealing image of buildings, and he uses a tilt-shift lens, then most probably you can make out and guess if he is a good photographer.
Many photographers love to blame the photography equipment for their lack of photography skills and it is rather sad. In life, we refer this act as pushing the blame and responsibility when something goes wrong. It applies in our daily life and work as well. How many people do you know of that does this cowardly acts to protect themselves?
